MY CLASSES

Regularly practicing yoga has many benefits. I could list them all here, but I'll invite you to join me in class and let you find out for yourself instead. To me, yoga is not something you do, but some thing that you are. It doesn't take long before something shifts and one starts to feel more present in their body. It is more than just postures, although it is the physical practice that initially draws people in. In my classes, you can expect slow and mindful movement, a strong awareness of the breath, and a healthy dose of humor sprinkled in with alignment cues. But most importantly, the freedom to explore movement in a way that feels intuitive and nourishing for YOU.

FUNCTIONAL AND SUSTAINABLE MOVEMENT 11 AM (PST)

What is functional movement? It is the real-world biomechanics that we use to move effectively and efficiently through our day to facilitate pain-free, healthy bodies. And even though our bodies crave movement it is my belief that there isn’t a one size fits all approach when it comes to the way we move! This class is an invitation to honor your body’s wisdom through breath practices, slow and functional movement, as well as mindful strength and mobility work. Using the breath as our guide, we will explore yoga and Pilates inspired exercises that mimic everyday life to help you “human better.” Each class ends with restorative stretching and a short mediation. No experience necessary, just a desire to awaken all your senses and leave class a stronger, calmer and more embodied version of you. I look forward to meeting you on your mat!

NOURISH AND RESTORE
MINDFUL YOGA AND MEDITATION WORKSHOP
FOURTH WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH 7-8:30 PM (PST)

Auburn Parks and Rec

This is a monthly opportunity to practice mindful yoga and meditation designed specifically to calm the nervous system and help alleviate the effects of stress. We will explore slow, rhythmic movement infused with breath practices and mindfulness meditations. This workshop is a great compliment to an active life style and the perfect addition to your workouts as it gives the body a chance to slow down, release tension and quiet the mind. Each class will have a theme and there will be many pauses to observe, reflect, and connect to the present moment. Give yourself the gift of 90 minutes to nourish yourself from the inside out—join me the last Wednesday of each month as we collectively turn down the volume on the noise of our busy lives. Together, we will create space for stillness and restoration.
